ARCHERSBOARD · LEGAL
Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms explain the rules for discovering offers, creating an account, and advertising on Archersboard.
Standard policy draft — not legal advice. These terms should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer, including confirmation of the operating entity and applicable local requirements, before commercial reliance.
1. About Archersboard and these terms
Archersboard (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online billboard marketplace where businesses publish advertisements, offers, job listings and events, and viewers discover and interact with them. The platform is operated from Nigeria and serves users in different countries.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Refund Policy addresses requests relating to publishing fees. If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement in your country.
- If acting for a business, you must be authorised to represent it and meet any registration, licensing and other legal requirements that apply to that business.
- Provide accurate account and business details. Do not impersonate another person or create accounts to mislead others.
- Keep your password and access to your email or Google account secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You can register as a viewer or business owner using email and password, or sign in with Google where available. We may use email verification and other security checks. Public discovery is available without signing in; saving offers, accessing rewards and business tools may require an account.
3. Business advertising and offers
Businesses are responsible for their advertisements and for the goods, services, jobs, events and offers they promote. You must:
- Publish truthful, lawful and non-misleading content, with clear prices, conditions, availability and expiry dates where relevant.
- Hold the rights and permissions needed for images, videos, trademarks, music and other material you submit.
- Follow advertising, consumer-protection, intellectual-property and industry-specific rules wherever you operate or target an audience, including Nigerian requirements where applicable.
- Honour valid offers and disclose any redemption restrictions. Do not use fake discounts, deceptive job listings, unlawful products, harassment or discriminatory content.
- Avoid uploading unnecessary personal data about other people, and obtain any consent or other lawful authority needed for information you publish.
Advertisements may be reviewed before publication. Payment does not guarantee approval. We may reject, limit or remove content that violates these terms, threatens safety or creates legal risk. Approval is not an endorsement or a guarantee that an advertiser or offer is reliable.
4. Campaigns, fees and payments
Campaign fees depend on the reach, duration and placement selected. The amount and currency displayed during checkout apply to that purchase. Currency conversion, payment-provider charges and exchange rates may affect the final amount; check the payment confirmation before completing your purchase.
Payments may be processed through Paystack or Flutterwave, depending on availability and location. The provider’s terms and privacy notice also apply. Archersboard records payment references, amounts, currency and status; it does not store your full card number or card security code.
A campaign must meet the applicable payment and moderation requirements before publication. We do not guarantee a particular number of impressions, clicks, customers, sales or other outcomes. Analytics may be affected by technical limitations and invalid or automated activity.
For billing concerns, failed payments, duplicate charges or refund requests, contact us with your campaign or transaction reference. Requests are considered under the Refund Policy and applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.
5. Viewer interactions, coupons and rewards
You may discover, save and claim eligible offers, and earn points or vouchers through qualifying activity. Availability and redemption depend on the conditions shown for the offer or reward.
Points are promotional, are not a bank balance or cash deposit, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash unless a specific offer expressly says otherwise. We may correct errors or reverse rewards obtained through fraud, duplicate accounts or automated activity. Do not manipulate views, claims, points or vouchers.
The advertiser is responsible for supplying the advertised product or service and honouring its offer. A claim on Archersboard does not by itself guarantee inventory, employment, admission or fulfilment.
6. Location and notifications
Archersboard may use your approximate region to display relevant offers and currencies. If you choose to share device location or enable flash-sale notifications, those features use the permissions granted in your browser or device. You can withdraw those permissions in browser settings. Revoking permission stops future access but does not automatically erase information already stored; contact us to request deletion. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Content ownership and permitted use
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Archersboard a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content as necessary to operate the service and deliver your campaigns. Service providers may process the content for those purposes. This permission does not transfer ownership to us.
Archersboard branding, software and original platform materials belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service as intended, but may not misuse our branding, copy protected materials without permission, bypass security, scrape personal data, distribute malware or interfere with the platform. Rights that applicable law expressly permits are not restricted by this clause.
8. Third-party services and links
Advertisements may link to external websites. Google sign-in, payment processing, hosting, media delivery and browser push notifications rely on third-party services. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply. We do not control external websites or advertiser transactions, and you should review an offer before sharing data or making a purchase.
9. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a reliable service, but maintenance, outages and provider failures can occur. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, error-free operation or a particular advertising result.
You are responsible for your submitted content and lawful use of the platform. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Archersboard is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or disputes arising from an advertiser’s products, services or offers. These exclusions do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections and liability arising from fraud or other conduct for which the law prohibits exclusion.
10. Suspension, removal and account closure
We may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, comply with law, enforce these terms or protect users. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the action and allow you to contact us for review. Serious security or legal risks may require immediate action.
You may stop using Archersboard at any time and request account closure through the contact below. Closure does not erase outstanding obligations, valid disputes or records that must be retained under applicable law. Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to the service or terms
We may change features and update these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes and obtain any necessary agreement. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen. If you do not accept revised terms, you may stop using the service and contact us about closing your account.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Nigerian law, subject to mandatory rights and protections that apply in your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve a concern in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before a competent court, without limiting any right you have to use your local courts or regulators under applicable law.
